Objective
In 1992, Roger Erickson began his career in London pursuing his passion as a fine art photographer. His first editorial assignment was photographing Neil Young and Crazy Horse for Select Magazine. He has since become an internationally recognized music, fashion and celebrity photographers. Known for his warm and engaging style, Roger’s work has appeared on numerous magazine covers, album packaging, advertising and promotional campaigns.
His photographs have been published on the covers of Vogue (Latin America), Entertainment Weekly, Out Magazine, Ebony, Q Magazine, The Source and The Advocate, as well as featured in GQ, Rolling Stone, ESPN, Oyster and Flaunt. His images have appeared on wardrobe by Marc Jacobs for The Door Charity, and in advertising campaigns for Mercedes Benz, Lexus, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Fox Broadcasting, Twentieth Century Television, Interscope Records, Island/Def Jam Music and Atlantic Records.
Over the years, he has photographed many musicians, celebrities and notable personalities including Mark Wahlberg, Chris Evans, Eminem, Usher, Ozzy Osbourne, Juliette Lewis, Zang Ziyi, Evan Rachel Wood, Billy Bob Thornton, Samuel Jackson, Edward Albee, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Snoop Dog, Lil' Kim, Joan Jett, and LL Cool J.
Roger’s work has also been featured in numerous books including "Indochine" (Rizzoli Publishing), "Hip Hop Immortals" (Sock Bandit Publishing), "More Body and Soul" (Rizzoli Publishing), "Def Jam Recordings" (Rizzoli Publishing) "Hip Hop: A Cultural Odyssey" (Aria Multimedia Entertainment), and in 2011 his work and career was profiled in the book "GOWEST!” (DAAB Publishing).
